Zeta Phi holds a long and distinguished tradition of academic excellence, and this is largely a product of our scholarship program. Some of the instruments we employ in attempting to help our pledges achieve academic success include mandatory study hours, a test file system that is unparalleled on campus and constantly updated, an active mentor program that is designed to foster academic acclaim for pledges, and Yeckel Library. Yeckel Library, which was completed in 1993, includes two study rooms and a computer lab that holds six Windows based computers equipped with flat screen monitors. Also in the computer lab is a laser printer, a photocopy machine, and a scanner. The computers are maintained to ensure that they are up to date on hardware and software alike. Other study tools that are available at Beta are wireless Internet throughout the main house and library, as well as an issued desk for each entering freshmen. Also, every freshmen class has its own Scholarship Chairman who is with the freshmen every evening to aid them with their studies. With the countless resources that Beta provides, academic success becomes second nature for every member.
